I used the opportunity to demand answers about enforcement practices that have raised alarms here in North Jersey and across the country.

We gathered for a simple reason: to highlight the very real harm this funding hold threatens to impose on working families and on our region’s future.
WASHINGTON, DC – Congresswoman Nellie Pou (D-NJ-09) announced that the 2026 government spending bill package enacted this week included $14,494,000 for 15 separate community projects in the Ninth Congressional District championed by Pou.
With their passage into law, Congresswoman Pou has so far this year secured funding for 26 separate community projects in North Jersey, totaling $24,205,000 delivered for the people of New Jersey’s Ninth District.
