Congresswoman Pou Wins Over $14.4 Million for North Jersey Community Projects

February 6, 2026

With second round of funding, Pou has secured over $24 million for NJ09

WASHINGTON, DC – Congresswoman Nellie Pou (D-NJ-09) announced that the 2026 government spending bill package enacted this week included $14,494,000 for 15 separate community projects in the Ninth Congressional District championed by Pou.

With their passage into law, Congresswoman Pou has so far this year secured funding for 26 separate community projects in North Jersey, totaling $24,205,000 delivered for the people of New Jersey’s Ninth District.

“I am proud to secure this additional round of multi-million dollar direct federal investments for communities across our district,” said Congresswoman Pou. “These funds reflect what effective representation looks like: delivering real resources that strengthen public safety, expand access to recreation and education, address flooding and transportation challenges, and support our most vulnerable residents. From infrastructure and stormwater management to youth programs, food security, and services for seniors and the unhoused, these projects will make a tangible difference in people’s daily lives. I am grateful to our Senators, Senators Booker and Kim, for their continued partnership on behalf of our cities and towns, and will work to make sure this money reaches our cities and towns as quickly as possible.”
