May 12, 2025
PATERSON, NJ – Congresswoman Nellie Pou (D-NJ-09) today celebrated the release of Edan Alexander, a New Jerseyan who has been held hostage by the terrorist group Hamas for the last 584 days.
“I am overjoyed that Edan Alexander has finally been released by Hamas terrorists and will soon be reunited with his family and loved ones,” said Congresswoman Pou. “Edan has lost 19 months and nearly 600 days of his life and I am so happy Edan is coming home to New Jersey. While Edan’s release means Hamas terrorists are no longer holding any living Americans, dozens of hostages remain in Hamas’s clutches and they too must be immediately released.”
